---- Sheridan takes 1st place at Montana State Archery Tournament -----

On April 12, 2008, 5th through 8th grade archers from Montana schools gathered at the East Helena Middle School for the State Archery Tournament. Sheridan's victory excited the whole team who are both supportive and competitive with each other. Last year at the state tournament in Stevensville, MT the 5th/6th grade boys division was dominated by Sheridan's Eric Browne in 1st place and Jacob Huffield in 2nd place. Now in 7th grade, the boys again dominated their division (7th/8th grade). This year Huffield took 1st place by scoring 266 points and Browne took 2nd with 259. The friendly rivalry allows them to be proud of their team effort while striving for their own personal perfection. Other medals gained by the Sheridan team included Seth Green, 2nd place 5th/6th grade boys; Brittany Van Dyck, 2nd place 5th/6th grade girls; and Shilo King, 3rd place 7th/8th grade girls.
