The Missoula Children's Theater once again came to the Ruby
Valley to inspire our children. This year Ian Gibbs and Sage Davis
produced Treasure Island with the help of the Sheridan and Twin
Bridges Schools, Turner Foundation, Walter's IGA, Jensen's Market,
Rod and Sherry Elder and the Moriah Motel.
The executive director of CMT, James Caron, wrote this adaptation
of Treasure Island. It was a delightful production for the whole
family to enjoy. Kori Anderson played the whimsical Jim Hawkins, a
youth seeking adventure when he finds a treasure map. Ian Gibbs
played Long John Silver, the pirate who conspires to steal the map
and treasure from Jim. "It was a lot of fun," says Kori
Anderson. "I have been participating in this program for three
years. This year was the most challenging because I had so many
lines to remember." Kori and three of her friends from the Ruby
Valley will be going to a CMT sponsored camp this summer and learn
more about the art of acting.
