Enjoy many special events in Virginia
City, including the Microbrew Fest, Living History events, the
Farmer's Market and more.

"Dog & Grog," Virginia City's First Annual Montana Microbrew Fest, is Saturday, July 24th at the Bale of Hay.
This all-day event starts at noon and lasts until 8 p.m. Five Montana breweries will be bringing their microbrews. Beer and hotdogs are served from noon to 8 p.m. on the patio of the Bale of Hay Saloon.
Live music by "Crossroads," a rockin' blues band will play all Saturday afternoon and again at 10:30 p.m. They will also play on Friday night, July 23rd at 10:30 p.m. at the Bale.
The Virginia City All-School Reunion will be at the Elk's Lodge on Friday and Saturday, July 30th & 31st. All members of the Virginia City school are invited to attend. For more info, call 843-5414.
The Living History event focuses on "Committing to Peace (the Montana Civil War)" on July 30th to August 1st. There will be Union & Confederate veterans, historic sulters, calvary demonstrations and more starting at 9 a.m.
The Grand Ball for Peace of 1865 will round out the weekend. The grand march around Virginia City will begin at 7:30pm on Saturday, July 31st. The ball will be in the VC Gym following the grand march. Everyone is invited to participate and era clothing is requested, the focus being military. Live music will be provided by the James Family Fiddlers of Dillon.
Reservations can be made by calling 843-5503 and costume rentals are available at Rank's Mercantile at 843-5454. Tickets by reservation are $20/person and $40/couple. Tickets at the door are $25/person and $50/couple.
Don't forget the VC Farmer's Market every Saturday thru September at the tent village across from the Opera House, 9 a.m. to 12:30p.m.
